Description
Book: May 1890, hardwood (possibly olivewod) binding. Green leather spine (worn) is ornately tooled in blind w/ title and floral devices, made to resemble wood. Real wooden beveled boards - hardwood has been embossed on the front w/ "Jerusalem" and Hebrew. Marbled edges. Title page printed in green. 12 pages of flowers from Jerusalem pasted in designs w/ the names of the flowers in English, German and French. Handprinted blue-ink notes identity Biblical areas where flowers were grown. Oblong book measures 6 3/4" x 4 1/4". 12 p. Card inserted in book has handwritten note: "May 1890, Made by natives in Philippopolis South Bulgaria Europe"
