Cabells Journalytics Medicine: Helps Researchers Identify Journals for Their Manuscripts
Do you have doubts about the authenticity of the journal inviting you to submit your work? Are you considering submitting to journals that are less familiar?
Cabells helps researchers evaluate medical journals by providing submission guidelines and impact factors for 7,146 medical journals from 27 health sciences disciplines.
- Each journal in Cabells Journalytics meets a comprehensive set of selection criteria. Listings contain citation-backed metrics providing acceptance rates, peer-review details, time to first review/publication, length requirements, percentage of invited articles, ranking, indexing, and altmetrics, such as social media mentions. The number of retractions, corrections, and errata in a journal are provided.
- The Smart Citations feature differentiates between citations that provide contrasting or supporting evidence for the cited work, and those that simply mention the study without discussing its validity. In addition, you can set email alerts when new citations are made to a journal.
- Predatory Reports identifies 17,035 questionable journals with violations in business practices, publication practices, peer review, and access/copyright. With a published set of objective evaluation criteria, lists the severity of infractions in categories such as integrity, fees, and indexing. Their review team considers 70 behaviors that contradict standard industry practices and indicate deception.
