Keeping up with Latest Evidence: PubMed Alert
PubMed users who create a My NCBI account can maximize their experience by taking advantage of the full functions PubMed offers, including creating auto alerts. Log in to PubMed using third-party authentication. Once you verify your email address, click on your account name for the dropdown menu, selecting dashboard.
From the My NCBI Dashboard, you can:
- run searches directly.
- set filters for relevancy.
- save search results in your Bibliography.
- share results with colleagues.
Create an AutoAlert to receive automatic updates to email on file:
- Run your search.
- Click on the Create Alert button (also saves your search).
- Name your alert.
- Choose when to update (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Format the report (Summary, Abstract, etc.).
- Find, edit, or delete your saved AutoAlert.
- Go to My Dashboard, then the My Searches box.
- Manage Saved Searched.
- Tick the box next to your search (click delete or what’s new).
- Or click on frequency to edit.

- View Help FAQ.
