Keeping up with Latest Evidence: PubMed Alert

PubMed users who create a My NCBI account can maximize their experience by taking advantage of the full functions PubMed offers, including creating auto alerts. Log in to PubMed using third-party authentication. Once you verify your email address, click on your account name for the dropdown menu, selecting dashboard.

From the My NCBI Dashboard, you can:

• run searches directly.
• set filters for relevancy.
• save search results in your Bibliography.
• share results with colleagues.

Create an AutoAlert to receive automatic updates to email on file:

• Run your search.
• Click on the Create Alert button (also saves your search).
  1. Name your alert.
  2. Choose when to update (daily, weekly, monthly).
  3. Format the report (Summary, Abstract, etc.).
• Find, edit, or delete your saved AutoAlert.
  1. Go to My Dashboard, then the My Searches box.
  2. Manage Saved Searched.
  3. Tick the box next to your search (click delete or what’s new).
  4. Or click on frequency to edit.
