Don’t let travel restrictions hold you back from CME/CNE opportunities. In fact, many of our databases offer inter-professional continuing education credits/hours that are free to our clinical staff.

Busy clinicians often have difficulty finding the time to locate accredited continuing education. The Health Sciences Libraries can help with that. Continuing education accredited by the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit System, the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) can be accessed at your convenience from desktop and mobile devices. It’s as easy as creating a username and password within each database while using the library website from Geisinger facilities.

Also, as most clinicians know, UpToDate is partially integrated into Epic. This means, while using UpToDate to answer clinical or patient care questions through Epic’s patient record, you will receive CME/CE/CPD credits.
